1884 Tacoma Sweaters

If you're from Tacoma or call Tacoma home, you have to have one of these cozy 1884 crew neck sweaters!

They come in three colours and this is the light grey. Before I went into UXC (formerly UrbanXchange) to buy mine, I thought that I would get the charcoal. However, looking at them in person, I fell in love with the light grey!

After feeling how incredibly soft the inside is, I went for the oversized, loungey look. Glad to say that I made the right call! Every day when I come home, all I want to do is change into this sweater. Literally. Every. Single. Day.

I'm super excited to see what else comes from Nick Casanova and 1884! If you want to learn more about Nick and the brand, you can read this story I wrote for South Sound Magazine.

After I left that interview, I felt super inspired! One of the great aspects of my internship is meeting Tacoma creatives and leaders in the community and hearing their stories! It's opened my eyes to a city that, to be completely honestly, I've always dismissed.

1884 also came out with adorable enamel mugs. I want one SO BADLY, but I had already dropped $42 for the sweater . . .

In the end, it all worked out because I got this ceramic mug from Made to Create PNW!

They had a holiday pop-up at their studios, and I decided to go at the very last minute!

I got to meet 3 of the 4 ladies of Made to Create PNW, and they were all so lovely! The studio was decorated for the holidays, and it was a Pinterest dream. They also baked cookies and brownies and had hot chocolate! I hope I get to see them again soon, and maybe even work with them!

They also had handmade leather camera straps, beanies, and other goodies, which you can purchase online or pick up at the studio in downtown Tacoma!

(Thank you for snapping this pic, Shelby!)

Stay warm, everyone!
